East Hollywood, CA (August 11, 2020) – An apartment fire that broke out early on Tuesday morning, August 11th, left two people injured, one critically, according to authorities. The incident happened at around 6:16 a.m. inside of an apartment building located in the 400 block of North Ardmore Avenue.
According to officials, a fire broke out in a unit on the upper floor of the building, and crews with the Los Angeles Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and one woman was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Another occupant was found inside the building with no pulse and not breathing. That victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Few details have been reported at this time as an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
