Harvard Park, CA (June 23, 2020) – One person was killed and three others seriously hurt in a collision that occurred following a police pursuit in the Harvard Park area of Los Angeles. The crash was reported at around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday night, June 21st.
According to authorities, police officials attempted to stop a vehicle they believed was stolen at the intersection of West Vernon and South Western Avenues when the vehicle fled the area. A 10-minute pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into another car at the intersection of South Normandie Avenue and West 60th Place.
First responders arrived at the scene of the collision where they located two victims inside each vehicle. The driver of the allegedly stolen vehicle suffered unspecified injuries and one passenger in the same car was pronounced deceased.
Two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The conditions of the wounded parties have not been reported. An investigation is ongoing.
