Los Angeles, CA (August 9, 2020) – A pedestrian, identified only as a 26-year-old man was killed after being hit by a Metro bus in East Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened early on Sunday morning, August 9th, at or near the intersection of City Terrace Drive and Pomeroy Avenue.
CHP officials said that the victim was walking in the area of the intersection when he was struck by a bus at around 12:40 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where the pedestrian was pronounced deceased.
At this time, the identity of the victim has not been released and authorities with Metro said that there was no disruption of service resulting from the accident. The events that led to this incident remain under investigation.
No further details have been reported.
