Monterey Park, CA (July 31, 2020) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a pair of collisions involving multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer, were reported only moments apart on Friday morning, July 31st. Both crashes took place in the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard in the Monterey Park area of Los Angeles County.

CHP officers say the first collision involved a tan Ford Taurus and a black Chevrolet Trailblazer that collided at around 9:46 a.m. Not long after, a tractor-trailer collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck, a silver Mercedes, and a motorcycle.

Law enforcement officers and paramedics responded to the scene where several injuries were reported. At this time, authorities have not commented on the conditions of the victims.

Investigators are currently working to establish the events that led to these incidents as no further details were reported.
