Pomona, CA (September 18, 2020) – A woman, who remains unidentified, lost her life after being hit by a car that crashed through the wall of her home in Pomona.
The wreck occurred yesterday evening, Thursday, September 17 at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of Colony Drive near South Hamilton Boulevard.
According to police who responded to the crash, the driver, who was allegedly intoxicated at the time, was traveling at extreme speeds on Colony Drive and lost control of their vehicle. They then jumped a curb and crashed into a home.
A woman, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision by responding medical professionals. Three other individuals were home when the accident occurred, but were not injured.
The driver was transported from the accident scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one involved in the incident has currently been identified.
A news video released showed severe damage done to the home and the vehicle involved.
No further information has been disclosed regarding the details of the collision at this time.
