South Pasadena, CA (August 10, 2020) – On Sunday night, August 9th, a SigAlert was issued approximately 22 minutes after a serious crash occurred in South Pasadena and left four people injured. The accident took place on the California State Route 110 Freeway at around 10:06 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an unspecified vehicle collided with a sedan along the freeway where the sedan was forced over an embankment and into a tree as a result of the impact. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and firefighters had to extricate some of the victims who were pinned in their vehicle.

A total of four victims were rushed to Huntington Memorial Hospital. Two of the victims were last reported to be in critical condition. No details have been released concerning the conditions of the other two victims.

All northbound lanes of the freeway were blocked until the area was fully cleared for travel at around 12:31 a.m. The events that led to this accident remain under investigation.
